You can not walk into any store without being blinded by the glare of sequins. This particular trend, no doubt, is in order for us to get dressed up for our Christmas and New Years parties.

Sequins always give a youth look, especially the mini skirted styles. Other styles like tunics, shifts and A line shapes are great styles to choose too.

Celebrities who have worn some of my favourite sequined dresses this year are Vanessa Hugdens in French Connection, Kerry Washington in Alberta Ferretti, Ana Ortiz in Escada and Eva Longoria in Kaufman Franco.

Chanel PreFall 2008 collection

LONDON, December 7, 2007 – Possibly the most glamorous tourists ever to hit London—Karl Lagerfeld and the Chanel posse—arrived in town this week in a flurry of flashbulbs to present the house's Métiers d'Art pre-fall collection over a two-day razzle-dazzle round of cocktails, dinners, and partying. Why? It's the right time and the right place to bring out a super-special collection, sandwiched in a sweet new spot of luxury between ready-to-wear and haute couture. As Lagerfeld explained it, "There's a new clientele now, Russian, Middle Eastern, Chinese, South American, and they're young and they're all tiny—size 36, 38. They have no problem fitting into standard sizes." And many of them (thanks to Gordon Brown's favorable tax laws) happen to be discreetly domiciled in the U.K. capital, perchance on the lookout for something just a little more gorgeous to wear on London's now extremely dressed-up social circuit.

Voilà: Métiers d'Art, the collection conceived to give creative vent to the decorative arts of the specialist embroidery, costume jewelry, millinery, feather-making, silversmithing, and boot-making ateliers Chanel acquired in 2002. The resulting show, staged at Phillips de Pury in Victoria, loosely played as a time-traversing game of English/French translations centered on the backstory of Coco Chanel's relationships with Arthur "Boy" Capel and the Duke of Westminster. Those dalliances cemented her abiding love of tweed, sailor stripes, cashmere knits, and—thanks to the indulgent Duke—gigantic love jewels, worn in rule-breaking multiples. Brought up-to-date, the look involves towering beehives and Amy Winehouse-meets-Daphne Guinness eyeliner, tweed coats with edges apparently tattered but actually detailed with rills of chiffon and feather, a chubby made of ostrich plumes, bejeweled redingotes, chiffon zippered armlets, gilded shearling leather, and layered cashmere—all finished here and there with brooch-studded gauntlets and flat, pointy loafers with a chunk of sparkle on the toe. Emma Watson, Rinko Kikuchi, Natalia Vodianova, Charlotte Casiraghi(Prince Andrea's sister!haha), Thandie Newton, and the very British Lilies, Allen and Cole, drank it all in as Irina Lazareanu belted out the backing music. Afterward, they headed off to Amy Sacco's Bungalow 8 outpost at St Martins Lane hotel.

Tomorrow Yoox.com will launch a sequel to their Tribute to Chanel vintage sale, which, when it launched two weeks ago, sold out in just 24 hours. Only 50 pieces will be available this time, many showing off house signatures: Quilted bags, pearls of every measure, camellia-strewn belts and necklaces, and tweeds are all in the mix. Former style editor of the New York Times Holly Brubach helped to curate the selection and has included some collectibles from her personal archive. Insiders tell us that the best pieces are "a red bustier dress and the bags." Prices start at $200.

My favorite model, Agnyess Deyn, just accepted the award for Best Model at the British Fashion Awards last November 27 in London. According Fashionista, she took a phone call from her mom as she was accepting her statue and then attempted to put her on speaker phone in front of the audience. CUTE. THAT'S the kind of I-don't-give-a-f*** attitude that comes off in her famously piercing camera stare, and THAT'S why we all love her.

Kiki in Miu Miu

The worlds of Miu Miu and Prada continue to grow apart. While both brands are at the top of the high-fashion heap, their Spring campaigns continue to veer. Prada will go with models for its ads, but Miu Miu confirmed last wednesday that hot Hollywood property Kirsten Dunst will display its wares. Dunst's campaign was shot over three days in L.A. last weekend by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Past Miu Miu campaign stars include Lindsay Lohan, also photographed by the duo, and Kim Basinger. Word on the street is that Dunst was more than happy to take a spin for the fashion brand, going blonder for some of the portraits (Mert & Marcus seem to like tonsorial extremes—remember Lohan's even redder curls last spring?) and staying on set for an additional four hours after a ten hour shoot to make sure the perfect image was captured. Next year promises to be a big year for the brand's American presence; Miu Miu outposts are scheduled to open in both New York, on 57th Street, and Los Angeles, on Rodeo Drive.

Roberto Cavalli is following up his collection for H&M, which prompted overnight queues when it hit the Manhattan flagship store, with another coup: He's outfitting Posh and the gang for the Return of the Spice Girls world tour, which kicks off Sunday in Vancouver. The costumes, which are updated, are fashion-ified versions of their original gear (e.g., Geri Halliwell's Union Jack bustier is still firmly in place, but she now gets her height from stiletto heels rather than platform sneakers). But then, Cavalli knows how to spice up an outfit.

A very old entry.(July something 2007) Been meaning to post this for some time now.. just never got around doing it. An image-heavy guide to fall/winter ‘07-’08 trends.

BELTS

Still wide and high and used to really cinch the waist. (Balenciaga, Christian Lacroix)

KNITS

Lots of knits for this season.. mohair knits, cable knits.. worn loose, draped, layered and sometimes cinched with a belt. There’s even a knit evening gown from Chanel- very comfy. (Christian Lacroix, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, Nina Ricci, Stella McCartney, Chanel)

High Waisted Pants

These silhouette-lengthening trousers are going to stay here quite a while. Tops usually tucked in or cropped. (Chanel, Kenzo Givenchy, Valentino, Celine)

BOWS

Along the decolletage, printed allover, around the waist, as a collar.. these knots don’t have to be always pretty (read: pink) and overly obvious to work. (Chanel, YSL Rive Gauche, Commes des Garcons, Valentino)

SHORT CUTS

Skirts and dresses are short short short despite the season.. remember dark tights make your legs look thinner. (Loewe, YSL Rive Gauche, Sophie Kokosalaki, Alexander McQueen, Christian Lacroix)

TEXTURES

Leather with wool and nylons, satin with brocade and jersey, chiffon with velvet and fur.. It all goes together.. go wild on textures. Keep from being boring, stale and cliche when wearing a one-colour outfit (like white): try playing with lots of different textures for interest. WIDE PANTS

The retailer has partnered with industry veteran Luxottica on a collection of eyeglasses and sunglasses, ranging from sleek, rimless metal to polarized shields and chunky black acrylics. Each frame is decorated with one of nine classic motifs featuring hand-set crystals, and spanning some of the most beloved Tiffany designs, including T&CO, Atlas, 1837, Jazz, and Lace—the last of which, as seen above, features two real diamonds set into the sterling-silver sunburst at the temple, which pushes the price up to $1,100. For the industry's top models, fashion season is a nonstop, caffeine-fueled round of shows, fittings, appointments, and hurried backstage meals, broken up by the occasional party. How does it all unfold? And how many cups of coffee can one model drink? We sent Derek Blasberg to tag along with Jessica Stam on a typical day in Paris to find out.

When Stam was told her car was picking her up at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning for the Lagerfeld Gallery presentation, she nixed any plans of going out the night before. "Although, look, it's still technically nighttime," she jokes as we pull up to the Louvre before sunrise, her ever-present Starbucks cup in hand.

After the Lagerfeld Gallery show, Stam throws her typical fashion week look back on—a Sophomore T-shirt, "because they're the most comfortable ones I've found"; Dior Homme jeans; and Christian Louboutin pumps—and squeezes in an interview with Agyness Deyn.

As we walk from Lagerfeld Gallery through the tourist crowds and gift shops of the Carrousel du Louvre to Valentino, Stam deadpans, "Should we get a lollipop in the shape of the Eiffel Tower?" Once at Valentino, she heads straight for makeup artist extraordinaire Pat McGrath. "Pat has this vibrant personality, quick sense of humor, and endless creativity."

"Without this guy, I wouldn't make it to any of the shows," Stam says of her driver, Jean Michel. "He's like a big brother now." As Jean Michel delivers her from the Dries Van Noten show to the Loewe show, he reminds her of her schedule, takes a Starbucks order ("He doesn't have to do that," Stam gushes, "but he does 'cause he likes me. All the other girls are very jealous"), and tells her where they'll meet after the show.

There must be something in the water at Stella McCartney's studio: At the designer's fitting, no less than three pregnant women adjust Stam's looks, including the designer herself (she's seven months along with number three, "but still beaming, even through the stress," Stam says). Here Stam clowns around with casting director James Scully on her way out. "James and I have a relationship based on compassion and a mutual love of coffee," she confides. "During the New York shows he gave me a Starbucks gift card—it made my day."

Finally, Stam gets a chance to eat and catch up with friends, including Mary-Kate Olsen, Christian Dior's Alexis Roche, and Proenza Schouler's Shirley Cook. They consider the Hôtel Costes for dinner, but decide to avoid the lobby scene and opt for an Italian restaurant in the Marais, where every pub is tuned to the European rugby matches. "I feel awkward wearing couture when everyone else here is wearing rugby jerseys and jeans," Stam teases. Believe it or not, in some parts of Paris, more attention is being paid to sports than fashion week.

The last appointment on Stam's schedule is a party at Parisian hot spot Le Baron that she's hosting with Carmen Kass for a yet-to-open, eco-friendly club in New York. "Everyone is asking what tips I have on getting green," Stam says on the dance floor. "I feel silly saying, 'Buy hybrids and recycle.' But listen, I actually recycle, and I actually drive a hybrid!" If it continues to bother her, she can always borrow Carmen's answer: "I tell everyone to shower with a friend."

Finally, a mere 19 hours after starting her day in sunrise shades at the Louvre, Stam climbs into her hybrid and heads back to her hotel. "It's a wild month of my life," she says. "But I love it. I love fashion and I love the shows." She had better: Her call time for Stella McCartney is in seven hours.

When Victoria Beckham got back this week from London after doing the promotions with the Spice Girls and working on her clothing line,DVB Style , she was greeted with a new car at the LA airport. David bought his family a new new Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet(aww,i think it is really sweet), which costs around $200,000 and on top of that he supposedly spent another $200,000 getting it customized. Yikes! Thats a big chunk of change to throw down car without consulting Victoria first!!

And in other news,David Beckham is obviously home sick in L.A. He doesnt have a lot of friends in LA besides from Tom Cruise and Tom Cruise has been in Germany,filming a movie and Katie and Victoria Katie were said to have had a falling out. Few designers have created and controlled their own mystique quite like the mastermind behind the rebirth of Chanel—the one and only Karl Lagerfeld. A new documentary by Rodolphe Marconi, premiering Wednesday night at Film Forum in New York, explores the juxtapositions and limitless creativity that have made the Kaiser the enigmatic figure he is. On the eve of Lagerfeld Confidential's premiere, ELLE.com talked with Marconi about the making of the film.

ELLE.com: What did the experience of creating a documentary reveal about Lagerfeld that you didn't know before?
Rodolphe Marconi: When I started making the film, I realized that I didn't know anything about him. Because you see him on TV all the time, and in interviews in magazines. He is always talking, but never really says anything. I was surprised to discover someone who was exactly the opposite of what I had expected. Because I was sure there would be moments when he would be nasty. In the end, I discovered someone who was very respectful, very funny, incredibly intelligent and totally uncompromising.
ELLE.com: How would you characterize Lagerfeld's design talent and creative intellect? Is he a genius?
RM: In my mind, he is a genius, definitely. Not because of his talent as a designer, but because of his personality.
ELLE.com: Was there a highly personal moment that you were thrilled to have captured on film?
RM: I love the beginning of the film, when I enter his bedroom. Because I went to his house every day for a year before taking the liberty of entering his bedroom.
ELLE.com: Spending a lengthy amount of time with anyone of such a high profile is sure to humanize them—in what ways did Lagerfeld become more accessible to you after the making of this film?
RM: Today I can call him, but when I call him, it's always because I have something very specific to tell him. We love to go to the Cafe de Flore to eat sausages and cheese omelets, and talk about our upcoming projects.
ELLE.com: Lagerfeld is so often the man behind the camera—did he act differently with the roles reversed?
RM: What was most unbelievable is that he was exactly the same, whether or not the camera was on. After the first three days, he forgot that the camera was there.
ELLE.com: Why did you focus only on Lagerfeld, instead of interviewing friends, family, colleagues, etc.?
RM: I just wanted to show my vision, because I didn't know Karl before making the film, and I didn't want to be influenced by any exterior factors. I didn't think it would be very interesting to make a typical documentary with everyone saying how wonderful Karl is!

Anyways, my friend Abbie is planning to create her own clothing line, she already made a jacket that she used during the Fall Out Boy Concert Friends or Enemies Tour, and she's planning to make our clique jacket with our clique's name and our names on it. Jema and yours truly will help her design the jacket. Abbie is also planning to name her clothing line Androgynous : methinks it is a very cool name.

Anyways, I am still thinking what my brand's/clothing line's name would be, but I want my name on it too, but I also want a name like Gwen Stefani's {LAMB}

The reason why I made a Fashion - Hollywood and anything goes Blog is actually because this blog used to be my "answer blog". Hahahaha. I know. But whatever. Anyway,since no one's really asking me any question, I decided to make this blog into a fashion-hollywood-gossip-anything goes blog instead and the website name/domain fits perfectly with the kind of the things I will be posting here.

The other reason why I came up with this idea because, as you all know, I am an aspiring fashion journalist too. Anna Wintour's one of the people I looked up to. Yes, I will be exercising my writing skills here. Haha!

Okay, I am no fashion expert. But I do know a lot of things about fashion. I am in love with fashion. I love dressing up and being glammed up. And I do know a lot of designers out there. Even the high fashion ones. And of course, I always watch my favorite-st channel - FashionTV. Yes. Hahaha.

So if you want tips here, dont worry I will try to put them all here and Im going to put my "resources" or "references" or whatever you call iti,f it's not mine: because if i dont write those "sources" Im in big trouble - plagiarism. Hahahaha{this is the effect of studying social justice and humanities and writing thesis paper}

Besides from fashion as my passion , I love Hollywood, theatre and music. I love everything about Hollywood and I know a lot of good movies and tv shows out there. Im going to post gossips here,Perez Hilton style {and of course if the articles not mine. i am going to put/jot my sources}

I am also a on the making graphic designer you know, so if you want me to post a tutorial on one of my works that I will be posting here, let me know,okay.
